Kanada verliert auch drittes Spiel

Am letzten Tag des Deutschlandcup 2012 in München trafen sich im Mittagsspiel die Teams aus Kanada und der Schweiz. Für das Team von Trainer Rich Chernomaz ging es im letzten Spiel, nach zwei Niederlagen darum sich mit einer guten Leistung aus München zu verabschieden, doch dies gelang leider nicht.

Das erste Drittel liessen beide Mannschaften im Vergleich zu den vorherigen Partien etwas ruhiger angehen. Diesmal zeigten die Kanadier nicht diese harten Checks wie gestern gegen die Slowakei. In der 9. Minute erzielten die Ahornblätter durch Jamie Fraser das 1:0. Nach einer Strafzeit für Kanada nutzte Ryan Gardner die Überzahl zum 1:1 Ausgleich in der 16. Minute.

Während sich das Eissportstadion am Oberwiesenfeld in München langsam füllte und die Fans dem entscheidenden Spiel zwischen der Slowakei und Deutschland entgegen fieberten, passierte auf dem Eis nicht besonders viel. Nach der Hälfte des Spiel stand es noch untentschieden und beide Mannschaften liessen nicht den letzten Willen erkennen.

In der 32. Minute waren dann die Schweizer erneut in Überzahl durch Tim Ramholt erfolgreich. Nach ein paar Handgreiflichkeiten und anschliessenden Strafen nahm die Partie dann mehr Fahrt auf und wurde wesentlich härter und auch nickliger.

Im letzten Drittel waren es erneut die Alpenländer, die die meisten Spielanteile hatten und so fiel das 3:1 durch Roman Wick verdient in der 41. Minute. Kurz darauf zeigt Martin Gerber bei einem Konter der Kanadier nochmals seine Klasse als er den Schuss mit einem Spagat hielt.

Tim Ramholt erhöhte in der 54. Minute durch sein zweites Tor in Überzahl auf 4:1 und bereits zwei Minuten später klingelte es erneut im Gehäuse von Sebastien Caron, als Kevin Romy auf 5:1 erhöhte. Zwei Minuten vor dem Ende erzielte auch Roman Wick seinen zweiten Treffer und sorgte für das höchste Ergebnis des Turniers.
