Beide Teams stehen punktgleich mit 5 Punkte auf dem ersten Tabellenplatz und wenn die Russen morgen gewinnen sollten, dann haben sie eine 100%ige Ausbeute beim Deutschland Cup vorzuweisen - 6 Titelgewinne bei 6 Teilnahmen!

Für Marco Sturm wird es kein Abschiedsgeschenk geben, denn nach der Niederlage im Penaltyschiessen gegen die Schweiz war ein Turniersieg nicht mehr möglich und so geht die Ära Marco Sturm beim Deutschen Eishockey Bund morgen ohne weiter Auszeichnung zu Ende. Deutschland trifft um 14:30 zum Abschluss des 29. Deutschland Cup auf die Slowakei.
